SIGNALS is online!
Signals is the newsletter that the council used to send out to the registered adult leaders. In a cost-saving measure, the Chief Okemos Council will no longer mail a copy of Signals out to anyone, unless you specifically request it. They do, however, make it available online to anyone, and will even send out an e-mail reminder when a new copy is placed on their website. If you would like to get this notification, go to the council website and register your e-mail address there. Click on the "Signals and Scouting Updates" link near the bottom of the page and follow the directions.
We have a few updates since our last news letter.
- There will not be an activity night this week (8/19).
- We do have an activity planned for Tuesday, 8/26. We are having a canoe trip down the Grand River, starting at 6:30 at the Delta Mills park and ending at the JC/Boy Scout park in Grand Ledge (just south of the Opera House). It should take 1.5 hours. If they have a canoe or kayak bring it. If you need a canoe email Shawn D. (gdeyoung@msu.edu) by Saturday (8/23).
- On Wednesday, 8/27 we have a Parent Meeting starting @ 7:00 pm at the church. All parents invited.
- Dont forget tuesday, September 2 – Court of Honor Picnic @ heritage Park, 6:00 pm. The entire family is invited and we will have hotdogs and please bring a dish to pass.
